Default McCain made a seriously big mistake!

I think McCain made a big mistake with his positions on postponing the presidential debate. McCain started a game of Chicken with Obama, to see if Obama would submit to McCain taking the lead on the economic crisis. The plan however backfired. McCain blinked in his own game of Chicken and gave Obama yet more credibility on the leadership/economic/pragmatic question.

My analysis may be off, but it is hard for me to see it any other way. Any ideas?

Post I Concur

When Obama chose Biden as his VP running mate
instead of Hillary (which Hillary had almost as many
delegates as Obama!), it not only indicated that
Obama had good Biblically-congruent patriarchal
sense pertaining to not allowing a woman to become
a heartbeat away from the Presidency herself, but
also revealed Obama's maturing American patriotism
and Christianity in that he could have chosen a younger,
islamic-oriented substitute to Biden.....but which he did NOT.

Had McCain chosen Romney, or even Pawlenty,
Huckabee, Guiliani, or Brownback, I would have
leaned toward supporting McCain with my activism
and vote on Election Day. But instead, he and his
GOP double-crossed both myself and God by
selecting weaker-sex inferior-gender Sarah Palin
as his VP running mate.

When the japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in
the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora," the jap bomber
commander joyfully reported the "good" news
to his commander. But the commander, with
a serious-as-death sullen look, stared off into
the distance, and predicted: "I'm afraid that
all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant,
and fill him with a terrible resolve."
The same could be said pertaining to the
ferocious and non-relenting rage of those suddenly
ambushed by McCain choosing the WOMAN Palin
as his VP running mate.

Senator McCain took the lead in saying both of them should postpone a debate to attend to an urgent matter. He did the right thing and showed more leadership than Senator Obama. Senator Obama seems to have totally forgotten his duties as a senator.

Big mistake by McCain. They both know their duties as senators, McCain just saw it coming and left.

I don't know, it all sounded like an impotent pledge. Did he actually do anything constructive to help pass/write the bill?

I saw Obama talk about it to congress. Didn't see McCain's although I'm sure he did.
