Obama's denomination (the United Church of Christ) does NOT have
the reputation of being a FUNDAMENTALIST evangelical (and thus, GENUINE
Christian) religious denomination. By the very name, UNITY is the goal,
even though the name of "Christ" is inserted to mask their goals of
global peace activism for and of peoples of all so-called "faiths" (i.e. beliefs
and disbeliefs), regardless of the stated doctrines and history of the actual Jesus Christ as revealed in the totality of His sacred-66-books HOLY BIBLE translated into English as a combination of the King James Version, Holman's Christian Standard Bible, the New Revised Standard Version, and the New King James Version (note the absence of the NIV, TNIV, RNASB), as much as they are true to the inerrant Scrivener Trinitarian Greek Text (not [corrupt] Westcott-Hort nor Nestle text) of the New Testament
and the inerrant ben-Asher (not ben-Chayyyim) Masoretic Hebrew Text
of the Old Testament as edited by Kittel.
The UCC is very close to Christ-less Unitarianism.

Obama WILL INDEED be given a litmus test by the AUTHENTIC religious-
conservative right (who are indeed "right" in every way!) as to what his CONSISTENT views are about abortion-homicide (i.e. infanticide), homosexuality and homogay sodomy, feminist sexism, evolution (as contrasted with Biblical creationism), atheism, anti-Christ-Jesus cultic religions (particular the blasphemy of islamic/muslims
with their substitute-deity "allah," false-"prophet" Mohammed, and
satanic-verses Qu'ran.

As oil and water do not and can never mix, so BONAFIDE Christians
and PSEUDO "christians" can not and will never mix.

The young Barack Obama is doing very well for himself ; )

Religion is something everyone should be allowed to keep for him or herself, even when running for President.

In many ways, it's very personal.

I wonder how many of you have seen Obama's preacher (or whatever he happens to call his religious leader). One day Obama was bringing himself closer to religion, sometimes bringing his religious leader along with him. He finally stopped once Fox News found out that Obama's religious leader is a radical black power supporter. Obama doesn't go to a Christian Church in the sense that most religious Americans do -- he goes to a radical political movement meeting that happens to have "Christ" tacked on to the end.

Wesley is probably correct.

Once again - typical of so many demoncrat types (Yes: DEMON-crats of the
cult who put Pelosi in as U.S. House Speaker!) - the AP media writer fraudulently misrepresents THIS voter who is now typing what you read and a whole lot of other voters like him.....with the DISHONEST and LYING inclusion of us purportedly grouped in with "the voters" as if we dissidents were also part of "the voters [supporting Obama]." We genuine Christian are NOT part of "the voters" who support Obama, yet we ARE part of the voting public being misrepresented in contrast to "the voters (who support Obama)."

Any "powers that be" we should "beware of" who got Obama to where he now is can be pleased to stick their heads into a toilet full of what toilets usually are full of, and flush it - which adonai should keep in mind.

Should ANYONE keep (a personal terroristic and genocidal) religion for himself or herself (of terroristically hating and want to destroy Israel) - as logixca inferred?

Honestly, I hate religion being a part of this all. It seems like a candidate gets hit for being religious, not being religious or just being the wrong religion. And being what many would consider a fundamentalist Christian, it may sound odd of me to say this, but it shouldn't be a major point.

If people want to count religious values as the issues, then make those issues what you base it on. Not what religion someone is.

Don’t know, just seems irritating.

Robert CLAIMS to be a: "fundamentalist Christian."

He does not want opposition to a person's religion
to be part of political-issues discussion.

Christ Jesus stated that "by their fruits you shall know them."
(with "fruits" including their website, hotlinks, and subject matter therein).

Much more than claims. But then, it depends on your definition.

I however believe we should watch what someone does, not their religion when we come to elections. This is not a purely Christan country, and while I hope people find salvation, I do know there are people who are good people who are not Christian.

But like you quoted, "by their fruits you shall know them," make the issues you have issues.

If you do not believe in abortion, do not support those who believe in abortion.

If you do not believe in what someone is doing, do not support their actions. Which means in an election, do not support them for election.

What bringing religion up in election often does, is spread hate. Honestly, in the country we have more of it going aound that I am comfortable.

Should religious values take a part? Yes. Should religion be the value in and of itself? No. Not to me. Do I still look? Yes.

Post No Eucharist for pro-abort PSEUDO-"catholic" Biden!

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Senator Joe Biden could have become a hero to the pro-life movement as a member of Congress. The Delaware senator came to Washington as a pro-life Catholic who believed life began at conception and that Roe v. Wade was bad law and should be overturned. Then something changed.

Biden changed his position on abortion and went along with the leftward drift of a Democratic Party that saw stalwarts like Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Al Gore and others abandon a pro-life view as abortion advocates took over.

The new running mate for pro-abortion presidential candidate Barack Obama shared the story of his evolution on abortion with the NBC program "Meet the Press" in April 2007.

"Well, I was 29 years old when I came to the US Senate, and I have learned a lot," he said. "I'm a practicing Catholic, and it is the biggest dilemma for me in terms of comporting my religious and cultural views with my political responsibility."

Biden's so-called political responsibility appears to have won out.

Though he has sided with pro-life advocates on occasion -- such as supporting a ban on partial-birth abortions -- Biden has compiled one of the strongest pro-abortion records in the Senate.

He received a pro-life voting record of 0 percent from the National Right to Life Committee for 2007-2008.

Though he has supported the Hyde amendment to prohibit federal funding of abortions, he supported taxpayer funding of abortions in other instances.

In February, Biden voted against an amendment to limit federal funding of abortions in the health care program for Indian Americans. He has also voted to make the U.S. military pay for and perform abortions on women in the armed services.

Biden has also voted repeatedly to overturn President Bush's policy of prohibiting taxpayer-funding of groups that promote or perform abortions overseas.

Biden put his pro-abortion views on record by voting for a Senate resolution in March 2003 that said the chamber supports the Roe v. Wade decision that allowed for virtually unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy.

"It is the sense of the Senate that the decision of the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade was appropriate and secures an important constitutional right; and such decision should not be overturned," the resolution said.

Biden also opposed the Child Custody Protection Act, a bill that would uphold the parental notification laws of a teenager's home state and prohibit someone other than her parents from taking her to another state for a secret abortion.

Polls have showed 70 percent of Americans back such parental involvement laws on abortion, but Biden has voted numerous times against them in the Senate.

Biden was also out of step with the American public in March 2004, when he voted against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act.

That was the legislation to protect pregnant women and their unborn children -- like Laci and Conner Peterson --from violence. The bill eventually became federal law and 36 states have similar laws on the books.

In August 2007, Biden voted against a measure that would have qualified unborn children for the SCHIP program that provides funds to states primarily to provide health services to children of low-income families.

While backers of the amendment hailed it as a way to provide better financial support for poor pregnant women -- who often choose abortions for financial reasons -- Biden refused to get on board with this minor provision.

On bioethics issues, Biden has been a thorn in the side of the pro-life movement as well, in part by repeatedly voting against a ban on human cloning.

Biden has also repeatedly voted to force Americans to pay for embryonic stem cell research that involves the destruction of human life and has never helped a single patient.
