The journey of my life

This journey will be about my switch from Christianity to Orthodox Judaism – and the switch is based on historical facts about the historical person Ribi Yehoshua – the Messiah.

I was born in the year of 1984 in Vårberg in Stockholm [Sweden]. Seven months later my family moved to Täby, north of Stockholm, and I have lived in Täby since then. I enjoy the surroundings where we live; there is a lot of nature. The nature I have enjoyed for a long time; lakes, forests, oceans, beautiful sunsets and the chirping of birds.

When I am out and talking a walk, for example along a lake, which I think is a fantastic experience; then I am often thankful to ha-Sheim – the Creator of this universe – that I have reached the point in my walk where I am today. When I am out walking in the nature it is hard to not believe that the fantastic view is the result of a Creator; that everything would be the result of a chance I consider as a very illogical alternative.

Eternity. What happens after death; that is something that I have thought much about during my life. I remember that I asked my father about that when I was about ten years old. For some time I believed that there were nothing that happened after death; but I didn't want it to be in that way. I have had several nightmares, perhaps mainly when I was in the years around 10; for example nightmares about that I had died. Now I do know what happens after death. Those who do their best to practice the many mitzwot (commandments) in Torâh (the Jewish Bible) come to heaven when they die.

I am not perfect; when I break a commandment of Torâh (the Jewish Bible) by mistake I can turn around and there is atonement for the mistake. ha-Sheim is perfect. Just as a parent has requirements of her children, does the Creator have requirements of the humans He has created, and whom He loves. There are moral laws which are for all people. There is a book of instructions – Torâh; all people will be judged after if they have followed Torâh to there utmost of their ability or not. In Hebrew Torâh means instruction.

My time as a Christian was filled with much emotions. I had many strong emotional experiences. My faith in Jesus and my love to god grew stronger and stronger. I visited Church regularly, I prayed much and I studied the Christian "NT" much.
Some years later: My longing to live in Israel grew stronger and stronger, as did my love for the Jews; I prayed much for them. I read much about Israel and I studied Israeli newspapers on the internet. It was in a comment to an article in an Israeli newspaper that I in 05-2007 found the Nәtzârim website

This website captured my attention directly! I sooned learned that Ribi Yәhoshua and lә-havdil J*esus were two different persons. Ribi Yәhoshua is the historical person that was born 7 years before our time in Beit-Lëkhëm. He grew up in Nazareth. He taught in different Jewish Synagogues (corresponding to todays Orthodox Jewish Synagogues) and took care of the sick. Year C.E. 30 the Romans crucified him on a cross. It is documented that his talmidim were named Nәtzârim. They were accepted among the other Torâh-practicing Jews (corresponding to today's Orthodox Jews) and prayed with them. C.E 135 Nәtzârim were expelled from Yәrushâlayim together with the other Jews.
The same year is the year for the first Christian bishop. Christianity spread the concept of J*esus, which came to replace Torâh. The difference is diametrical to the historical Ribi Yәhoshua who loved Torâh and practiced Torâh to the utmost of his ability.

Ribi Yәhoshua, whom I thought I have followed since 2001 when I became a Christian, did practice that which is corresponding to today's Orthodox Judaism. This realization does, of course, have consequences. I have since 05/2007 completely stopped the practice of Christianity and I do instead practice Orthodox Judaism. Just like Ribi Yәhoshua's followers, the Nәtzârim, I regard NT (which Christians call their "New Testament") as a document that contradicts Tana"kh; and therefore I regard it as a document, which I don't follow.

Just like Ribi Yәhoshua, I want to do my utmost to practice the mitzwot (commandments) of Torâh. I am a human loved by ha-Sheim and just like all other humans I have my weaknesses. I know that it isn't impossible to do the utmost of one's ability to follow Torâh. ha-Sheim don't require us to be perfect; He requires us to do our best to practice His Torâh.
As I said in the beginning of this presentation I am very thankful to ha-Sheim – the Creator - that He has taken me to the point where I am today. I look with excitement forward to practice more and more of the commandments of Torâh.

The arguments generally adduced by theologians in proof of the being of God are:

(1) The a priori argument, which is the testimony related to reason.

(2) The a posteriori argument, by which we proceed logically from obvious historical and present facts of experience to causes. These arguments are:

(2a) The cosmological, by which it is proved that there must be a first cause of all things, for every effect must have a cause.

(2b) The teleological, or the argument from design. With our five senses, we perceive everywhere the phenomena and operations of intelligent design in nature.

(2c) The moral argument, called also the anthropological argument, based on the moral consciousness and the history of mankind, which exhibits a moral order and purpose which can only be explained on the supposition of the existence of God. Conscience and human history testifies that "truthfully there is a God who judges in the earth."

Conceptualizing and defining The Holy Trinity (pertaining to THE Creator GOD) is best done by:

(a) recognizing names of God given throughout Old and New Testament Scripture, and
(b) analyzing characteristics and functions associated with names of God given throughout Old and New Testament Scripture.

Two prominent Hebrew designations for the Creator given in the Old Testament are: Yahweh and Elohim.

It is somewhat confusing that the KJV used the word "Lord" in place of Yahweh, because correct equivalence of the English word "Lord" is the Hebrew word: Adonai referring to: Jesus, the Son of God. Accurate English Old-Testament translations use "Jehovah" or "LORD" (all capitals) for the Old-Testament word occurrences of Yahweh. The "Spirit (of God)" also is found within the Old Testament.

Though credit for creation is said to have been done by "the Father" in the Nicene Creed, the work and accomplishment of creation is actually credited to the Son Jesus, as it states by the following New-Testament passages:

Col 1:16 for in [the Son of God] all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities--all things were created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Heb 1:10 [Of The Son He says:] "You, Lord, did establish the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

One also could wrongly presume, by the wording of the Nicene Creed and other literature, that the word "begotten" implies that the Son of God was conceived or birthed or fathered by The Almighty Father in Heaven before all time, before Christ was conceived in the womb of Mary. That presumption, of course, is errant - being that the Son of God of the Triune Godhead has always existed long before being conceived in Mary. Use of the weird English word "begotten" is lamentable, being that it is easy to miscomprehend, since with humans the word is associated with human fathers being an integral part of the production and maintenance of their male or female offspring. The English-transliterated Greek-word source of "begotten" is instead: generated.

Because of that, it is easy to understand why Jesus the Son of God equated Himself with God Almighty (El Shaddai) and part of that trinitarian Elohim Who spoke to Moses (recorded in Exodus chapter 3) from the burning bush:

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and lo, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, "I will turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt."
3 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?"
14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"
15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you': this is my name for ever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

As in indicated in Hebrew Name for God - Adonai, examples of the Hebrew word for "Lord" which is: Adonai (and the pronunciation of YHWH as "Adonai") is found in Genesis 15:2, Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalm 8:1, and Isaiah 6:1.

Combinations of "Spirit" and "Lord" or God" or "GOD" and so forth are described in The Hebrew Name for God - The Spirit of God (Ruach Elohim) as with the following examples:

Ruach Elohim = The Spirit of GOD (Genesis 1:2, Numbers 24:2)
Ruach Adonai = The Spirit of the LORD (Isaiah 11:2, Ezekiel 11:5)
Ruach Hakkodesh = The Holy Spirit (Isaiah 51:11)
Ruach Adonai Adonai = The Spirit of the LORD God (Isaiah 61:1)
Ruach-El = The Spirit of God (Job 33:4)

It thus becomes quite clear that the Jews of Israel had a remarkably developed cognition of the Trinitarian nature of the Godhead!

To help Old-Testament Jewish scholars understand the phenomenon of the Son of God becoming flesh as a fleshly descendant of God (see the geneologies of Jesus in Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3), Jesus asked the Jews whose son the Son of God is, and they replied that he was prophesied to be the son of David, to which Jesus responded:

Mt 22:41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
42 saying, "What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David."
43 He said to them, "How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,
44 'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I put thy enemies under thy feet'?
45 If David thus calls him Lord, how is he his son?"
46 And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did any one dare to ask him any more questions.

Engrained right within the Jewish Bible of Law, Prophets, and Writings, the concept of a Supreme-Power Savior who resurrects and judges is evident:

Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last he will stand upon the earth;
26 and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then from my flesh I shall see God,
27 whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall behold, and not another.

Deuteronomy 6:4 in effect reads: "Hear O Israel, Yahweh our Elohim is one Yahweh (i.e. Jehovah our GOD is one Jehovah). Again, along with Yahweh and Elohim (trinitarian plurality) is included the Son Adonai and the Holy Spirit (i.e. Spirit of God).
