One of the more active forums on the net is PBS's Washington Week but it is down for the weekend due to maintenance.

I'm not sure if there is a ratings system for forums. Some forums have a first page turnover of a couple of months, some as quick as 8 hours. The more active forums tend to be somewhat prone to flame-baiting unless the moderator is on top of things.

As forums go, this is a pretty good one so far as I have seen.

Washington Week is still offline for maintenance.

I suspect they are upgrading their board software.

Might be tomorrow before they are back online.

I still haven't had a chance to get over there to Washington Weekly. This is one of the most informative and diverse forums that I've been on. And one of the most civil as well.
