Post Do You Support The Death Penalty?

I've been reading websites about the Death Penalty. I read the arguments for and against executing our worst offenders. NONE of the arguments calling for abolishing the Death Penalty seem reasonable to me.

I support the Death Penalty 100%. I believe the worst offenders should be executed much quicker and far more often.
A few reasons why I support the Death Penalty are:
>Dead convicts never attack or kill guards, visitors or inmates.
>Dead convicts never escape, get paroled, pardoned, or released by accident.
>The victims (everyone affected) deserve justice and closure.
>The US has over 3,000 Death Row convicts comsuming Taxpayer money and resources.
>The Death Penalty is a proven deterrent to Capitol Crimes.

No, I don't support death penalty. I don't understand how anyone can. It's none of some other person's business to decide when someone should be killed. Death Penalty is the same as murder, don't forget that.

In an effort to protect society from the most dangerous types of offenders we certainly do have a right to permanently remove them from society. Convicted felons have been responsible for thousands of murders while merely locked up. They order killings, run organised crime rings and drug empires from prison. They are a danger to other inmates, guards, prison staff, and anyone else. The claim that "if they are locked up they cannot harm anyone" is a blatant lie.

Then there are the many victims to think about. Often forgotten in these Death Penalty debates, the victims are dead or traumatically injured for life in various ways. The list of victims often includes the families, friends, coworkers and entire communities.

Regarding "the Death Penalty is the same as murder;" that's like saying incarceration is the same as kidnapping.

Killing someone is too easy punishment for persons as you described, who are real villains. They should defiantly be sentenced to life in prison, that is the worst punishment, but it's humane. What about individuals who are sentenced for something they didn't do? And don't say that hasn't happened! Is it fair for their families then that their son or daughter was killed, because the court made a false conclusion and killed a innocent person? Also, it doesn't help the families at all whose loved one is dead to get the murderer killed too. The crime still happened , it's not going to wake up their son/daughter from death Get a grip of it
