I think its good that Nintendo are doing this.

Itl give younger gamers a chance to see what came before all of their new flashy consoles.
I remember back when the nintendo 64 and the dreamcast were big

the good old days lol, when kids were happy with a 2cm black and white screen for portable entertainment ......

Lol, I remember being the first between my friends to get a gameboy, and everyone would sit next to me in class just to have a glimpse at it

Yes, I remember Super - Mario. I was a small boy, and my parents gived Nintendo for a present on my birthday... That was awesome! I loved that game console. But one day it smashed. I cried all day for that. ;(

I think it's because there is a certain lure to games that needed no huge manuals, keyboard shortcuts, multi-mouse / keyboard combinations. Sometimes you just wanted to shoot little spaceships or gobble up monsters. It was simple and simple can have great appeal if there is wonderful gameplay. Not everyone wants to learn 50 key combinations just to play a game.

I saw on ebay that some of the old nintendo systems are getting $300+. It looks to me like xbox and ps3 are going to have to fight against nintendo, and no the wii!!

For me I still prefer the classics because these are the games that I grew up playing. NES games like mario brothers, mega man and castlevania all have a special place in my heart.
