Video No More Games Please!

Hi there,

You may think that I am out of my mind but I think this new religion must stop.
There is more then enough real wars out there, why start another or why imitate at all?
Can not we do something more useful?

Hi again,

What do you people gain playing these games?
Please be as detailed as you could. I really, really would appreciate your honest response.
Thank you!

WebKitten, games are great! I know it'd be better to take up an educational activity or an interesting hobby but these are much easier to take up time.

This is a time waste but not bad at all. everyone needs to relax. Why do you say that "there are real wars". Do you think all these people who play games are only lives in the bubble world of themselves? Don't think so badly. Games are games. Just to play

Games are fun... It's more fun than playing hide and seek, becouse you can turn into someone else - be warrior, medic or shop owner. You can make peoples ( sims). You can turn into cartoon heroes, like homer, batman, superman and other. Time waste, but fun waste .

Games are fun and I use this to relieve stress and forget the problems all around me.

She has a point, I don't play many online games, but I am guilty of it from time to time. I play games as means of entertainment or to kill time. It would be nice to have a better social life instead of playing these games, watching movies, watching television or perhaps spend my time studying.

I take it, WebKitten, that you are referring to the more violent games rather than solitaire, etc. If you listen to the hype, it sounds as if lots of people are taking their computer game realities and using that in real life to harm people. But with the millions of gamers, these are really rare events. And it's my belief that if they were so inclined to do violence, something else would set them off. For the rest of us, it provides an escape valve for stress and life. It's not healthy for people to let stress build up in their lives. And video games are cheaper than vacations. Not only that, but I'd rather see people shooting at pixels than shooting at people at a mall.

Hi There !!

I don't agree with you. We have many types of games. Some games are really helping us to improve our knowledge. Those games we can choose.

To kill time and enjoy is the theory behind games. If someone can't be conscious enough of the world today, but they fancy the preconceived notions about war from a video game as accurate then they've got bigger problems than just wasting time.
