Wink Nasa told to solve 'UFO crash' X-File

The truth is out there...

Sunday November 11, 2007: For four decades, residents of the tiny Pennsylvania town of Kecksburg have told their story of strange blue lights in the sky one winter's evening and a fireball crashing into woods.
Quote:
On 9 December, 1965, they say, they saw armed soldiers cordoning off the area and a large metallic acorn-shaped object bearing strange hieroglyphics driven off at speed on the back of a lorry. They talk of menacing plain-clothes officials visiting homes and warning local people not to tell anyone of what they saw. Until now the US government has denied that anything sinister took place. It has maintained that a thorough search of the woods by the air force, the only federal agency to have acknowledged it was there, found nothing. But now Nasa has been ordered to examine its X-Files to solve the mystery.

Steve McConnell, Nasa's public liaison officer, has admitted two boxes of papers from the time of the Kecksburg incident are missing. The episode has parallels to the 1947 Roswell incident, when a UFO was said to have landed in New Mexico. 'For so many years, a lot of good people in Pennsylvania were told by their government that what they had to say was a lie or that they were hallucinating,' said Leslie Kean, a journalist who launched a lawsuit four years ago to force Nasa to open its archives.

Washington judge Emmett Sullivan refused to accept Nasa's claim that the papers had been lost. He gave it until the end of the year to examine its records. 'Something came down that night,' said Kean. 'Nasa has been stonewalling and now it's required to do the search it didn't do in the first place. It's a victory for those patriotic people who didn't like being told that they were making things up.'

Stan Gordon, a UFO investigator living close to the site, interviewed several witnesses. He said: 'It's interesting that [witnesses say] it was made of one solid piece of metal with no panels or rivets, and that it was moving relatively slowly and made almost a controlled landing. 'I have no doubt the government knows a lot more about this than it has revealed to the public.'

I have always believed that UFO's exist.However,many sightings are natural phenomena[piezo lights];lights projected from some source[?]Government experimentation[holographic projection];psychic phenomena[like astral projection?].What do you think?

UFO Disclosure Could Involve 'Heaven'...

UFO disclosure could involve dimension we call 'Heaven'
December 02, 2010 - As scientific theories, popular discussion and significant indications about the possibility of other dimensions in our universe become more accepted, many people point out that unidentified flying objects (UFOs) could be several different kinds of phenomena possibly related to multiple dimensions.
Quote:
As we know, many UFO sightings involve stars, weather phenomena, conventional aircraft and probably advanced human military aircraft-spacecraft. However, some of these flying objects may very well be extraterrestrial spacecraft, some type of vehicles or other anomalous phenomena. When certain objects like this are repeatedly tracked on radar and observed by very reliable witnesses (sometimes multiple witnesses), it seems reasonable to accept this possibility.

In a "multiverse" that we might be living in, there are many possibilities to wonder about. Could some UFOs come from other natural dimensions? Such other dimensions could be hidden from us though elements of physics and Nature that we do not fully understand. Because of the probability that some kind of intelligent other beings are involved, we could also wonder if they are friendly and good, hostile and evil or something altogether different that would be challenging for us to understand. And, could some of the beings not be biological, and some of the flying objects not solid, but be some sort of energy or quantum form?

GUARDIAN ANGELS

Credible studies on the "near-death experience (NDE)" from a number of researchers have resulted in strong indications that there may be an afterlife or some other dimension that humans have often referenced in spiritual traditions. Seemingly related to the NDE phenomena, in 2008 the Baylor University Institute for Studies of Religion made public the results of a survey that many people found surprising. More than half of people polled believed they had been helped by a guardian angel during their lives. Interestingly, one in five of the people who responded identified themselves as not being religious. The survey of 1,700 people also asked questions about various religious topics. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed agreed with the following statement: "I was protected from harm by a guardian angel."

Agreement with the statement was consistent across educational levels, geographic region and religious denominations, according to Christopher Bader was the director of Baylor poll. Bader said in a TIME magazine article, "If you ask whether people believe in guardian angels, a lot of people will say, 'sure.' But this is different. It's experiential. It means that lots of Americans are having these lived supernatural experiences." He added that the amount of people reporting saying they believed they were protected by an angels was "the big shocker."

2010: A Big Year for UFOs
Dec 27, 2010 – Like a bad penny that keeps showing up, UFOs have been around on a regular basis from antiquity through modern day. And as 2010 unfolded, the UFO mythology was alive and well.
Quote:
Famed British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, the pope's astronomer, a high-ranking Italian politician and even the late Winston Churchill (according to recently unearthed documents) helped keep UFOs in the news. And sightings of unexplained flying objects came in from all over the world. Let's take a look back at some of the more interesting, strange and funny stories involving UFOs and the possibilities of contact with ETs that appeared on our pages.

It's always good to approach a subject like UFOs from an academic perspective, like this New York state anthropology professor who insisted that, not only should UFOs be taken seriously, but they belong in the college curriculum. The longstanding debate over whether or not we should try to make contact with space aliens reared its head during 2010. Astrophysicist Hawking cautioned that any communication with extraterrestrials might pose a huge risk for earthlings.

But with many people hoping that alien disclosure is just around the corner, word came out of the Czech Republic that astronomers had created new guidelines for how we should handle eventual contact with ETs. Then there was Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the governor of Russia's Buddhist republic, Kalmykia, who claimed to have made friends with aliens after they first allegedly abducted him from his Moscow apartment.

Making friends with otherworldly visitors is one thing, but when Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno announced he'd like to baptize aliens, it gave new meaning to the idea of reaching out and touching them. Not all political leaders feel the need to keep alien information secret. Case in point: Italian Northern League party leader Mario Borghezio's crusade this year to convince European Union member nations to release all of their hidden UFO documents.

We have met the enemy and he is us...

Study: Be Wary of Space Visitors
January 10, 2011 - When considering the prospect of alien life, humankind should prepare for the worst, according to a new study: Either we're alone, or any aliens out there are acquisitive and resource-hungry, just like us.
Quote:
These two unpalatable options are pretty much the only possibilities, according to the new study. That's because evolution is predictable, and alien biospheres should thus produce intelligent creatures much like us, with technological prowess and an ever-increasing need for resources. But the fact that we haven't run across E.T. yet argues strongly for the latter possibility -- that we are alone in the universe's howling void, the study suggests. "At present, as many have observed, it is very quiet out there," study author Simon Conway Morris, of the University of Cambridge, told SPACE.com in an e-mail interview. "And given many planetary systems are billions of years older than ours, I'd expect us to be best grilled on toast back in the Cambrian."

Evolution is Predictable

Life on Earth has exploited just about every conceivable niche, tolerating extremes of temperature, salinity, pH and pressure. Conway Morris makes the case that Earth life thus exists close to the physical and chemical limits of life anywhere. Further, Conway Morris says, evolution operates predictably, producing relatively predictable outcomes. These two suppositions argue that alien life, if it exists, should be fairly similar to terrestrial life, generating intelligent beings much like us. These aliens may look unfamiliar, but any differences would be skin-deep.

There is reason to be wary of such creatures, according to Conway Morris. "If intelligent aliens exist, they will look just like us, and given our far-from-glorious history, this should give us pause for thought," he writes in the study, which was published today (Jan. 10) in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A. Other researchers have raised this same point. The eminent physicist Stephen Hawking, for example, recently warned that aliens may be more interested in mining our planet for vital resources than in getting to know us.

UFOs Help Innovative Thinkers Look to the Future
Jan 22, 2011 - Where should forward-thinkers look when they seek innovative ideas? Perhaps to someone -- or something -- that's more innovative than they are.
Quote:
From Saturday to Tuesday, more than 100 of the world's leaders in business, politics, education, sports, entertainment, the environment and technology are gathering for a conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Nothing too weird about that. But among the many discussions of how to break new ground through global innovation, they'll be talking about UFOs. That's right. Unidentified flying objects and the ongoing interest in finding life in outer space are on the roster at this unique event.

"I think because they recognize that if you want to look for innovation, look for somebody who's way ahead of you," explained nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, one of the invited panel members of the fifth annual Global Competitiveness Forum, or GCF. "Even if UFOs and aliens weren't real, just thinking about it is a big thing, enlarging the scope of our thinking to include a larger part of the galactic neighborhood instead of the planet," Friedman told AOL News on the eve of his departure for Saudi Arabia. Sponsored by the official Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, the vision of the GCF program is to bring together business leaders, politicians and intellectuals who share a common interest in how competitiveness can be used to find real solutions to global challenges.

And GCF organizers think UFOs might offer some inspiration. "Using knowledge gained from research in the fields of ufology and the search for extraterrestrial life, what might we possibly learn about hindrances to innovation in other areas of inquiry?" That's one of the topics described on the official GCF website, where the UFO panel theme is listed as Contact: Learning From Outer Space. "After 52 years of study and investigation, I have concluded that the evidence is overwhelming that Earth is being visited by intelligently controlled extraterrestrial spacecraft. In other words, some UFOs are alien vehicles," said Friedman.

He added that he's "convinced, after my work for major corporations as a nuclear physicist, that technological progress comes from doing things differently in an unpredictable way. The future is not an extrapolation of the past. "Reviewing the UFO evidence requires us to examine our assumptions about how things work." In addition to Friedman, the panel will include astrophysicist/computer scientist Jacques Vallee, theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, author/journalist Nick Pope, and Egyptian scholar and member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs Zaghloul El-Naggar.

"I'm convinced there's a phenomenon there, that there is a technology," Vallee told AOL News before heading to Saudi Arabia. "And I'm not kidding myself that we're going to discover a new form of propulsion tomorrow, just by looking at UFO patterns." He explained that this is how he's always approached the mystery of UFOs. "These things are real and they do something we don't understand, but if we're clever in watching and understanding the patterns, maybe we can learn something about physics that we didn't know before."

Sign up for intelligent life: Thousands petition Obama to reveal 'government secrets' about UFOs and extraterrestrials
6th October 2011 - The search for intelligent life beyond the stars has landed on President Obama's desk.
Quote:
More than 7,500 people have signed a petition asking the White House to 'formally acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race and immediately release into the public domain all files from all agencies and military services relevant to this phenomenon.' It's a move that UFO conspiracy theorists and true believers hope will lend some legitimacy to their cause.

If the petition gets 17,000 more signatures by Oct. 22, the White House has promised to respond. An Obama Administration initiative called 'We the People' will enlist White House staffers to research and consider taking action on any issue that receives at least 25,000 online signatures. The threshold was originally just 5,000 signatures, a number that the UFO petition reached in four days, but the White House increased that number Monday.

The petition was created by Stephen Bassett, who has been lobbying Washington on the UFO issue for 15 years. He said the few thousand signatures he has collected so far will mean relatively little. 'I knew we’d get at least 5,000. That’s easy. The question now is, can it go viral? If it goes viral and we start rolling in some really big numbers, who knows what’ll happen,' he told the Herald-Tribune in Sarasota, Fla. On his website, Bassett urges web masters and social media users to post links to the petition that say, 'Make it go mega-viral.'

The petition says hundreds of officials have publicly confirmed human contact with alien life. It also claims half of Americans believe in UFOs and extraterrestrials. 'The people have a right to know. The people can handle the truth,' the petition says. The We the People project has dozens of active petition. The one with the most signatures, 51,000, asks to legalise marijuana and regulate it like alcohol. Other popular petitions include requests to abolish the Transportation Security Administration and investigate the federal prosecution of the former CEO of the country's largest Kosher meat processing facility.

Teotihuacan 83: Archaeologist Discovers Repeating Numerical Pattern In Architecture Of Ancient Mexican City
10/30/11 - The numerical figure of 83 centimeters may not, at first, seem all that amazing. But, according to Japanese archaeologist Saburo Sugiyama, that figure shows up just about everywhere at the site of the ancient Mexican city of Teotihuacan.
Quote:
In presenting his findings at a special meeting of Teotihuacan experts, Sugiyama said there was a "constant presence" of 83 centimeters throughout the more than 7-square-mile city once inhabited by 100,000 people, more than 14 centuries ago, reported FOX News Latino.

Teotihuacan, an official UNESCO World Heritage site and once the sixth largest city on Earth, located about 30 miles northeast of Mexico City, is known for several huge pyramids and a sprawling complex of residences. The whole place was suddenly abandoned around the seventh century and historians don't know why.

Oh, and also interesting is the total Teotihuacan surface area of the site has been measured at a 83 km². Coincidence?

UFO At NFL Game: Special Slow Motion Camera Captures Strange Object In Flight During TV Broadcast
For many football fans who watched the New Orleans Saints rout the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 23, the most unusual thing about the game was the lopsided final score of 62-7.
Quote:
But for UFO aficionados and paranormal experts who tuned in, they may have seen something in the sky that was even more out-of-the-ordinary than the tossing of more touchdowns vs. incompletions. As NBC's cameras returned from a commercial break and focused on the historic, triple-steepled St. Louis Cathedral in the city nicknamed the Big Easy, a couple of lit objects seemed to streak across the darkening sky -- and they've yet to be definitively identified. Viewed in real-time, it's hard to see much more than something flashing across the screen. But a frame-by-frame scrutiny of the video reveals a rod-shaped object topped with brightly lit dots.

Rod-shaped UFOs? Actually, this isn't the first time such objects have been seen and photographed. In 1994, independent filmmaker Jose Escamilla was attempting to videotape UFOs near Roswell, N.M. -- yes, that Roswell -- home of the legendary, alleged crash of a UFO in 1947 that has captured the imaginations of millions of people for decades. "As I reviewed one of the tapes, I noticed something streak past my camera viewfinder and thought at first it was just a bird or insect," Escamilla told The Huffington Post. "Looking at each frame of the footage again, I knew it was something more unusual. My wife called them 'rods' as they sort of looked like some kind of life form you'd see in a microscope."

Since that time, Escamilla has collected hundreds of taped examples from around the world of these so-called rods, which vary in physical form: Some look like centipedes with appendages and others have no appendages but appear to have lights on top of them. Skeptics maintain there's nothing extraordinary about all of this -- the objects, they say, are merely insects flying very close to the camera lens. "I think these are insects that got caught in that interlaced video as they're flying through with a wing beat frequency, and the frames are being captured at a frequency... that causes that look," insisted Marc Dantonio, chief photo and video analyst for the Mutual UFO Network.
