She could afford to rent by herself, but why? She only needs to rent a place for approximately 7 or 8 months a year. And while she is there, she's on set anywhere up to 16 hours a day.
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to pay full rent for just having a place to sleep. She's not making that much money.
Anyway, it's just good no one was injured. Fire is such a scary thing.
